The founders who ask me to mentor them always ask me the same question:
"How can I inspire my team?"
My answer is always the same:
👉 By first making sure that you are inspired.
An extraordinary leader needs extraordinary authenticity and alignment.
â–¶ If you are not inspired, you haven't earned the privilege to inspire others.
â–¶ If you are not motivated, you haven't earned the privilege to motivate others.
But that's precisely the issue with leadership: Everyone believes it is earned externally first.
External leadership leads to:
✖ Leading from theory, not from example
✖ Demanding of others what you haven't yet manifested in yourself
✖ Wanting to receive before giving
✅ However, the reality is that leadership is earned internally first because there is no leadership without self-leadership.
Making that mental switch is essential to begin earning the privilege of leading.
